Swan Valley meeting registrations are now open.
Dear Colleagues,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to notify you that registrations for the Local Government Chief Officers Group Forum held 27 - 29 November 2024, are now open.
Hosted by the City of Swan, this forum promises insightful discussions on the future of waste management, with a spotlight on Western Australia's pioneering Waste to Energy plant, set to open this year after a decade-long journey.
Throughout the forum, we will explore various facets of the evolving waste management landscape, including regulatory changes, industry dynamics, plant ownership, and waste supply agreements. Additionally, we'll delve into challenges and opportunities in destination tourism marketing, brand identity, government support, and the role of AI.
For a detailed overview of the forum and to register click here and use the password swanvalley.
It is also a wonderful opportunity to extend your stay and discover the treasures of the Swan Valley. I can happily provide ample recommendations for activities, food (and wine) and entertainment.
As hosting a conference requires guarantees for the booking of venues, dinners etc; to ensure we have sufficient numbers we need to have registrations by Friday 30 August.
I look forward to seeing many of you over the coming days in Kiama.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or my EA, Sarah Pendal.
Secure your spot today, there’s no time to waste!
Warm regards,
Stephen Cain
